Though it is flanked by industry, with docks and a steel works, Aberavon is arguably the most popular kite beach in South Wales. It features a huge, sandy beach backed by sand dunes.
Wind Directions
Aberavon will work on anything from SSE around to NW, though cross-shore winds can be gusty. Works best in a SW.
Tide States
We're not sure about the tide states at Aberavon, if anyone could help us out we'd be grateful.
Riding Types
Aberavon picks up its fair share of swell. The western end has some flatter sections. Expect a mixed bag.
Local Information
Kite surfers must stick to the allocated kite zone. This is in front of the sand dunes. Strictly no riding in front of the promenade.

Getting There & Parking
Parking is just off Scarlet Avenue. Follow signs to the beach.
